Our studio (10e Locust Avenue in Mill Valley, CA)
Description
In this hands-on learning lab, kids will develop creative thinking and problem solving skills as they build self-powered vehicles, conduct color changing science experiments using the principles of chemistry, tackle fun building challenges with blocks and recyclables, create catapults to explore force and motion and so much more as investigate how things move and work through playful experiments. This program blends creativity with scientific principles, allowing students to explore a different STEM concept each week and hone their creative thinking and problem solving through hands-on experimentation and project-based learning. Ideal for curious learners who enjoy building, experimenting, and exploring the world around them!
Your child will:
Develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Explore diverse science, technology, engineering, and math topics
Engage in interactive, experiment-based activities
Collaborate independently and with peers to strengthen cooperation skills
Each week showcases a different scientific theme!
Price
$225 per month; classes are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time throughout the year.
A Couple of Notes
This class runs August 24, 2026 - June 11, 2027 and is billed monthly. If you register before August 24, you will be billed for the first month to reserve your spot, then your billing will be paused until the end of September (you will not be billed over the summer).
This is a drop off class.
Children must be able to use the bathroom independently to attend class.
Please fill out this waiver form before attending a class. Please note if you have filled one out previously you do not need to do so again.

Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your class, please note the following:
You are required to fulfill your commitment for the current month.
Missed classes or partial attendance will not be reimbursed or prorated.
Please review the Art Barn 2026-2027 holiday calendar. You will receive a make-up class on the days the Art Barn is closed.
Once a cancellation is processed, waitlisted families will be informed and your spot may be taken. You may sign up again at any time but your spot is not guaranteed.
By enrolling in our classes, you agree to these cancellation terms.
We do not prorate or reimburse for missed classes.
